Dibrugarh polytechnic is regarded as one of the reputed engineering institute of Assam . This institute was established in 1965 . The institute is located at Bokul, Lahowal which is about 12 k.m. away from Dibrugarh town on Dibrugarh-Tinsukia road . This institute provide facility for study in three departments namely electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering .
Every year college admits 60 students to civil engineering, 30 students to electrical engineering and 30 students to mechanical engineering .
